I never heard about the Gorillaz' Monkey opera. I wish I could have seen it. I'll have to pick up the CD. Yeah, the book covers for the various editions of <i>The Journey to the West</i> are pretty ugly at worst and plain old fashioned at best. I've also been meaning to read the novel, but maybe the covers have subconsciously put me off from doing so! I'm lucky that I have a store in the city that dedicates itself to selling alot of little replicas of Chinese ad's with alot of the Shanghai calendar girls in it. thank you so much for a reply.
